- Serves: 6 burgers approx.
Ingredients
- 900g extra lean beef minced meat
- 2-3 medium garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsps olive oil
- Ebb Tides Dulse Seaweed, either a handful of whole Dulse snipped with scissors, or 4 to 5 twists from your grinder
Instructions
- In large bowl, mix minced beef, crushed garlic, chopped onion, black pepper, olive oil and Ebb Tides Dulse.
- Divide the mixture into approximately 6 portions, depending on how big you want your burgers to be, and shape each portion into a burger patty that is slightly larger than the diameter of the buns.
- Preheat a large heavy-based frying pan or skillet to medium-high heat. Brush each burger with a little olive oil and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate to rest for 2 minutes.
- Then build your burgers adding toppings of your choice and serve. For the toppings, you could use lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, cheese, pickles, sliced beetroot… whatever takes your fancy!
- Alternatively simply grind Ebb Tides Dulse onto a good quality shop bought burger 20 seconds before it's finished or add ground dulse as a topping.
